Unsure of me feelings!?

I recently found out that my mother who is white concieved me while was in college in Japan with Japanese boy who was a minor at the time. I have always been told that I was adopted by other family members because of my Asian looks but just before I graduated from high school my mother told me the truth.
She had went to Japan to study politics and lived with a sponsor family who had a 14yo old son. One night while his parents were gone to visit relatives, my parents got drunk and I was concieved. My father doesn't know about me because my mother left when she found out she was pregnant. In Japan, the age of consent is 13 is most areas. My mother wanted to get her Masters degree but felt ashamed for having sex with a child.
My mother eventually got married to a wonderful Chinese man who adopted me as his own and died when I was 15. I feel like a part of me is missing out but another part of me feels the same shame my mother felt. Can anyone offer some insight on how I should feel.

Well I can imagine your probably feeling pretty betrayed, angry and hurt right now. I think it is a shame that your family actually told you that you were adopted! Usually it's the other way around and understandable but this isn't. Her shame has fell on your shoulders and that isn't fair! Don't be ashamed. You are who you are no matter who your blood parents are. I would suggest writing a letter 2 your mom and write down your anger and keep on until you understand what your mind is doing. Don't read it 2 her just write it 2 her. Then burn it before anyone besides you reads it. If you decide 2 talk 2 her face to face then you will of hopefully worked out some of your confusion.
