How can i make realistic looking polymer clay food?

I really want to make some but i'm not sure how to!

Well, you need to get a variety of colors of the clay, then practise! That is really the only way. Try and copy others.
You can get glazes for the polymer clay as well, that can make it shiny. Use things around the house for textures, like pushing it through some screen or a sieve to make it look rough,(like if you wanted to make a tiny burger) or press sandpaper against it for texture. Trial and error is really the only way to see what you can do!

An easy one to start with is a pie. Get a metal bottle cap and sand off the writing so it is just silver (like a pie pan) then make filling...ie for cherry roll heaps of tiny red balls. Take some light brown clay and make the inside crust...just roll it flat and push it into the bottle cap. Add the 'filling' When the little balls (ie cherries) have filled the cap then make some light brown strips. Weave them over the top of the bottle cap like the top of a pie crust.(You can make blue/purple ones like blueberry pie, or mixed ones like mixed berry pie...) bake it, and voila! Pie!
